MacLennan Waterproofing worked on an elegant Georgian country manor originally established as a Hunting Lodge in the 13th Century, then rebuilt by the Duke of Clarence in the 1740’s for royalty.
MacLennan designed and installed the waterproofing system to convert a damp basement into a useable dry space. MacLennan were engaged by Acorn Construction to carry out a site survey and to specify the necessary work to provide a guaranteed dry habitable area in the basement of the house while retaining the existing floor finishes.
Although there has been a substantial property on the site since 1791, Armsworth House in Hampshire dates from circa 1862. MacLennan were called in to provide internal cellar waterproofing to the vaulted wine cellar. Whilst there has been no history of flooding in this cellar, the client required it to be completely waterproofed and dry from any moisture or water, including condensation.
