Waterproofing a new build basement music venue, London
MacLennan were contracted by Wilmott Dixon to design, supply and install a waterproofing system for the striking new LCCM campus, The Music Box. LCCM is a specialist higher education college offering courses in music and technology.
The Music Box contains four floors of rehearsal and performance spaces, a ground floor café, basement bar and music venue.

Method
MacLennan designed a Waterproofing system utilising cavity drain membrane. The Waterproofing system was installed to internal Walls by MacLennan's fully trained and NVQ qualified technicians. The cavity drain system is a water management system. It is the most effective and reliable form of Waterproofing in most situations.
Once the system is in place, water within the structure will run into a channel and be removed by a specially design sump/pump system.
Result
The work was carried by MacLennan in the agreed time frames and was guaranteed for a period of 10 years.
The design of the Waterproofing is covered by MacLennan's 10 million PI and covered by our warranty.
