The Beginning
Linda and Ian MacLennan are running a branch of a Damp, Timber and Structural repair company
2000-04-01
Our first Office
MacLennan (Then known as LSE Building Preservation Ltd.) Is founded. We also started the Building Lime Company, making and selling lime plasters and mortars.
2004-03-01
Forward and Up!
MacLennan renovate and move into a remote, historic farm office. We train our staff to the highest possible standard and seek out new methods and systems. Our team expands rapidly.
2010-06-10
A New Focus.
The Building Lime company is sold, LSE building preservation Ltd, is rebranded to MacLennan.
We focus on waterproofing design and installation... We are soon established as market leaders.
2022-03-01

In 2021, Ian MacLennan was part of a team of experts that rewrote the British Standard for Protection of Below Ground Structures Against Water Ingress.
2023-06-01
The Present
MacLennan have moved to our new office & warehouse facility and are working towards the future.
Environmentally Friendly Waterproofing
The First thing you might consider when looking at waterproofing systems while being environmentally minded, is the amount of plastic used.
At MacLennan we are more than aware of our participation and have taken multiple steps to ensure we don't contribute negatively to the environment.
Carbon Offset
MacLennan actively source Recycled materials for use on our projects, we also choose to specify systems without harmful VOC's and organic compounds wherever possible.
Our business vehicle fleet is slowly converting, with most of our cars already being electric.
Recycling
We recycle our HDPE membranes and any old membranes to be turned into new, sustainable systems for waterproofing.

As Waterproofing contractors, MacLennan has over 30 years in waterproofing and gas proofing projects across London and the UK.
We take on design liability for the work we complete and are covered by £10 million PI insurance.
Do you do damp proofing and timber repairs?
MacLennan was founded as a damp, timber and structural repair company.
We don't offer this as a service anymore, but can offer them as bolt-ons for waterproofing projects where it's needed.
