🔧 Project Spotlight: Historic Basement Waterproofing in London 🔧

We were thrilled to be recommended for our expertise in waterproofing historic and existing basements. This London project involves a full building refurbishment, including a spacious basement with vaulted areas. Our team has been hard at work preparing the surfaces and installing our cavity drain system throughout the basement.

Vaults present unique waterproofing challenges because water runs over the membrane instead of in the void behind it. According to British Standards, all vault membrane systems must be tested with water during and after installation, as well as before and after the installation of finishes.

When done correctly and tested, membrane remains the safest form of waterproofing for vaults. The vault must be structurally sound, and all water must be stopped before installation, which sometimes requires shotcrete or render systems. As always, our team has done a fantastic job!
