New Build Basement Waterproofing Country House, Surrey
Introduction
Project: Large new build Country house development. MacLennan were asked to provide design and installation of basement waterproofing systems for this very large new build development in Surrey.A high end residential project. The basement will house the gym, swimming pool, garaging , plant rooms etc. The waterproofing was the most critical item in the design and installation. MacLennan supplied design expertise and detailed all aspects of the waterproofing with the Architect, engineer and contractor. MacLennan have worked with the design team on multiple successful projects of this type over the last 7 years.
Methodology
The basement was built of poured concrete. MacLennan installed a full Type C cavity drain system internally. At the junction between the top of the wall and the deck and the top of the wall and the house MacLennan detailed and installed our Polyprufe top of wall system. All the decks around the property were waterproofed with the Maclennan Polyprufe system.
Result
The basement waterproofing was designed, supplied and installed by MacLennan Waterproofing. The system is guaranteed for a period of 20 years. The guarantee is covered by MacLennan warranties and 5 million PI. All design work complies with BS 8102. All proposals submitted by Maclennan complied in full with insurance company requirements so as the home owner had a fully insured and guaranteed waterproofing system.
