To comply with British Standard BS8102/2022 and Third-party warranty providers you need to appoint a CSSW qualified waterproofing specialist onto the design team before technical design (RIBA 4).
This new requirement does not mean take advice from a designer, it does however mean the CSSW expert must be a design team appointment. They must also have PI for the advice and design they provide that is available throughout project. From early design right through to waterproofing basements and completion of basement construction.
They must have suitable experience and be able to advise on all systems and options as well as buildability, repairability, sequencing, protection, hazards and CDM.
